Relaxing Contest Winning Photo

I received the Grand Prize in the Third Annual Photo Contest for OutdoorIllinois Magazine! I also received first and second for two other photos. My photos appeared in the February 2003 issue of the magazine. I was really excited when I was contacted. It is a great honor for me to be in this magazine, a magazine that highlights the incredible nature and awesome wildlife of Illinois.

GRAND PRIZE
I received the Grand Prize for Relaxing. This was one of the first turtles to visit my backyard watergarden.

FIRST PLACE

I got First Place for The Snapper. This was taken near the Pierre Marquette State Park Lodge, Grafton Illinois.

Heads Up

SECOND PLACE
I received Second Place for Heads Up. I had never seen a hummingbird nest and had always wanted to see one and thought it would be heaven to photograph. Last July on my birthday a very dear friend called and told me that he had found a hummingbird nest. Needless to say this is very precious to me. I thank you Joe. What a birthday present!
